Anticipating April…

It’s a cold, quiet Saturday morning around here.  While I’m being lazy and procrastinating starting my day, I’m counting down the days until two of the adventures I’m planning take place.  They’re very different and I honestly can’t say which one I’m looking forward to more.

First up is the total solar eclipse happening on Monday, April 8th.  It’s always been a bucket list item of mine, and I’m all about checking as many of those as possible.

Living in central New England makes it easy.  I love where I live! I have done day trips in 8 different states.  So my plans as to where I’ll see the eclipse are completely up in the air.  (I’m sure there’s a great Dad joke in there somewhere).  I will literally drive anywhere from the Canadian border in Maine to the Ohio/Indiana line.  It all depends on who will have the clearest skies.  So I’ll have to make a last-minute decision on where to go.  I like to plan, so this one is kinda stressing me out!  The good news is that I’ve got places to stay at each extreme all covered.  I’m sure the traffic is going to be legendary, and most people aren’t going to factor it into their plans.

The next trip, less than a week later, will be on the NCL Joy, headed to Bermuda for a week.  The ship is currently in dry dock getting refurbished.  I can’t wait to see all they’ve done to her.  The good news is that this trip is pretty much all planned, so all we have to do is show up.  Bermuda is quickly becoming a favorite destination of mine, and I’m sure that there’ll be millions of posts coming up regarding all there is to do there.

Looks like there’s a potential for over 3500 miles to travel within those 2 weeks.

Sweet.
